Requirements

• macOS
• SwiftBar
• jq, curl (pre-installed on macOS or via Homebrew)

Install

./install.sh

This installs SwiftBar via Homebrew (if needed), symlinks the plugin and helper script.

Commands

claude-menubar add              # register account (import current login or new OAuth)
claude-menubar list             # show all accounts
claude-menubar switch <name>    # set active account
claude-menubar usage [name]     # print usage percentages
claude-menubar rename <old> <new>
claude-menubar remove <name>

How It Works

The SwiftBar plugin (claude-usage.30s.sh) refreshes every 30 seconds. It reads OAuth tokens from macOS Keychain, calls the Claude API usage endpoint, and renders a utilization bar in the menu bar.

The detect command runs on each refresh to check if Claude Code switched to a different account, keeping the menubar in sync.
